selfie (n.) A portrait that people capture of themselves. People often show their selfies to others by posting on social networks or sending them in private messages. And people take selfies for many different reasons: getting more attention, receiving affirmation, or documenting a moment. But at its most basic level, a selfie is a self-portrait that is captured for the purpose of revealing something about yourself to others. In the Book of John, Jesus reveals some very important things about himself by giving us 7 different self-portraits - selfies.
