David Domke is professor and chair for the Department of Communication at the University of Washington and author of "God Willing? Political Fundamentalism in the White House, the War on Terror, and the Echoing Press," as well as the award-winning book "The God Strategy: How Religion Became a Political Weapon in America." Prior to academia, Professor Domke worked as a journalist for the Orange County Register and Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He is presenting a five-part lecture series on "Marching to Selma: How MLK, LBJ & the Civil Rights Movement Changed the World," presented by the UW Department of Communication and the University Bookstore.
