Jose Manuel Lozano.Lucio, D-Brownsville, began his public service in 1971, as the Cameron County treasurer and later Cameron County commissioner. He serves as the chairman of the Intergovernmental Relations Committee and vice chairman of the Education Committee, and he sits on the Natural Resources & Economic Development and Veteran Affairs & Military Installations committees and Subcommittee on Border Security. Lozano, R-Kingsville, serves as the chairman of the Redistricting Committee and vice chairman of the International Trade & Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, and he sits on the Environmental Regulation Committee. He previously served on the Energy Resources Committee. He also served on the House Republican Caucus Policy Committee and as vice chairman of the House Energy Caucus.Want more Tribune live events?
