Senate passes $70 billion immigration enforcement bill

The U.S. Senate passed a $70 billion immigration enforcement bill to fund President Donald Trump's border crackdown through the remainder of his term. Following a continuous 18-hour overnight "vote-a-rama" session, the legislation cleared the upper chamber on a narrow 52–47 party-line vote, sending the measure to the House of Representatives where it is expected to move quickly.
