Senator Whitehouse Demonstrates Why the IRS Must Go

Senator Whitehouse of Rhode Island has been caught red handed trying to get the IRS to persecute tax exempt groups whose politics the Senator doesn't like. Fortunately, he did not succeed, but the fact that he even tried it is more proof that the as long as the IRS exists, it will be used as a political weapon. There's no way to de-politicize the IRS. We can only abolish it by replacing the income tax with the FAIRtax.
