Send in the Clowns - BFL 84

from Blind Faith Live - Real People. Real Miracles · host Philip Keller "Trapper Jack"

Tragic irony. Just one day after posting the heroic efforts of Dr. Greg Spohn in bringing healing to his very ill wife, Julie, Dr. Spohn died of a heart attack. We are shocked and crushed by the news. Our prayers and sympathies go to his wife, Julie, and the Spohn children. The ripple effect is huge. As a pediatrician, Greg touched so many lives. The Stephen Sondheim song, "Send in the Clowns," has been playing in my head for several days. The song parallels the life of Greg and Julie Spohn. In the song, someone has left a relationship just as the other has become fully committed to it. The song laments that if it wasn't so sad, the timing might be amusing. But there is nothing amusing about it. Only sadness and emptiness. Greg and Julie would talk of their 'three marriages' together. The first eleven years were blissful. The next fourteen were horribly troublesome, as Julie had suffered brain damage in a freak accident. Their 'third marriage' began on Valentine's Day 2007 when Greg and Julie watched Dr. Issam Nemeh and me in a televised interview. It led to a complete reversal of the brain damage, just a few days later in Dr. Nemeh's office. It appeared that there would be many happy years ahead of them. Instead, there is the tragic timing of Greg being taken away. In this episode, the hint that Greg gave Julie just a few days before he passed that his life was almost over. Plus, his appearance to Dr. Nemeh as he passed to the other side. In Issam's Insight with Dr. Issam Nemeh – *The apostles showed us that God will let us know that our physical life is over. *Acceptance of everything is the greatest way of showing our love for God. It also guarantees healing.
