Senior Assassin Game Risks Real Consequences | Jacksonville News

High school seniors are playing “senior assassin” — a viral game where they use water or Nerf guns to eliminate each other — but law enforcement is sounding the alarm: these toys can easily be mistaken for real firearms, leading to dangerous misunderstandings, arrests, and even tragic consequences. Organized by students themselves, the game’s popularity on social media masks serious risks, especially since carrying anything that looks like a weapon on or near school grounds is illegal. With security systems already flagging realistic-looking toy guns, the sheriff’s office warns that what seems like harmless fun could spiral into life-altering trouble — a stark reminder that imitation weapons aren’t just harmless, they’re potentially deadly.
