Senior Pastor Elect Kevin Gresham II from Greater Saint John Cathedral joins us on The Good Word to discuss "Be The Church Sunday" a movement where churches across the Washington, DC area partner to provide families with free gas, free groceries, and utility bill assistance. The area-wide effort takes place on Sunday, May 31st in Upper Marlboro at Greater Saint John Cathedral. Gresham says now more than ever the faith based community is needed to help families in need. He shares his personal journey including failing out of high school twice before going on to play football at The University of Maryland, working for the federal government, and ultimately following in his father's footsteps to become a preacher.
