Sens Trade Up for Winger Eklund
from NHL News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
The Senators pull off a savvy trade, sending their ninth-overall pick to San Jose for winger William Eklund and two prospects — a move that checks all boxes: Eklund brings immediate two-way value and top-line potential with Tim Stutzle, while Halttunen and Svoboda add depth and future upside. For the Sharks, it clears space to focus on defense with that high pick, smartly trading down from a crowded forward pipeline. A win-win that reshapes both rosters strategically.
