I want to say a little bit delightful little donuts.

Yeah, and because you know Tim Hortons donuts because it was max and Ash with us it was like Where's the donut place it was cops donuts cops donuts speaking of meetings and I sort of stumbled into so she got back from New York We played our final show of the year Barry Ball and Ross. I'm towards all wrapped.

It's Steve mayor Steve mayor worked in like television production for like 20 years doing like everything from like You know beauty pageants to like parades and like working for big network television shows And then he's now the head of content at the NHL So we got to know Steve who's like a really fun gregarious energetic New Jersey guy named Steve mayor We got it to know him when we did the NHL awards remember I was just gonna say the fist bomb heard around the world Yeah, yeah part of that So he's like come by the office come by the office Okay, we just got to town we're in Brooklyn.
We take the train in it's like five o'clock the rain is pouring So we take this away and we have to kind of ash and I just like sprint five blocks to get there And then he's just like the most sort of excitable person You know most people who've been like ministry long enough are kind of like old crusty bastards now and don't want to do anything He's like a kid on Christmas. Oh yeah, and it's so inspiring to be around him Like he's such just a good friend, but also just like any small ideas exciting him big ideas are exciting him He's not afraid to pitch good ideas bad ideas like let's just have a conversation Let's like figure something out you think he's like the virtual in his group or it's like shut up, you know I'm so happy to know you know on Instagram or something you get a little bit sick of it if you're close Speaking of virtual just announced he's like a member of a board. He had an idea and then it kind of fell through so that was like Oh Danny you stay with me so Dan and I remember that room together in Brooklyn and it was actually you snored a lot and And so every time you start like Dan Dan I just want to work that I just have to hit him with my pillow Jesus, but yeah, we had a great time in New York.

This is an actually actually a great idea Let's get Julia Jung who was a high school teacher in Mississauga who's a music class We gave $25,000 worth instruments with Nick nurse remember we did yeah, and Julia was so honored to be asked And it's like such a cool opportunity for her, but she's also just an amazing public speaker It just sort of like beams positive energy and goodness And she's just like that kind of teacher that is like the kind of teacher We all remember from the amazing teachers and she spoke perfectly she in the middle She did the thing where she couldn't even speak and she started to cry Yeah, and so she really held the room and it was kind of the back half of the show and we hadn't had dinner yet No, we had just I did it but everybody really fucking hungry because they had like prolonged the food too long so it was it was cool because When do you typically get a chance to have a like a room full of strangers have to sit there and not be able to do anything else And just look at what a good Person you are Afterwards a lot of people come up to us and you know, it's kind of like a wedding. Yeah, we have to get a very Pating speeches about you exactly but I had to read off a teleprompter after I had to speak Yeah, I mean speech are you good? It's like the best and then keep it moving I don't really want to hear the reality of like fuck.
It's hard to tour Canada man And we're out there grinding and music in Canada is it's hard to make a living no one wants to hear that So in my mind I've sort of like that's a subjective thing So I feel like you can get a pass with something that's objective you either won something or you didn't But congratulations on your success with a van you're like you were touring you know and playing stadiums That's yeah, we're on the TV and stuff Yeah, so I think you can get away with it But if someone's like max walk of fame oh my god But it's funny cuz it is the walk of fame it is the camera's walking away gave us an honor But you think you seem to oh, yeah, yeah, you're right So it's so and if I want to get in the weeds like we did get on our foot gun away Yeah, but no star okay, huh? No, I was panicking and I anxiously texted to her manager Eric on how to dress for these things I went shopping I went to a bunch of stores but several outfits tried them on at home pick one was it is our No, H&M though, right? Yeah, I know I saw you it is a funny thing though at those events like because you want to go talk to people right like it's part of the Like other celebs over there, but else it's like you feel insecure, but anyway, I talked at least a little flam I saw you guys were you lining up for the photos of Ash got you She's awesome. What I feel like Ash put something in the group that we've done. It's like we your life just goes on, but she's just in this hell I mean like it's like she just thinks like oh she's still there She's in that and you put yourself in that position Well every time I think about her I'm like imagine I was just in there and people didn't care about me enough I didn't think I was famous enough to get me out and I was trapped there for the next nine years well the problem is that like The way the diplomatic relationships work between those two countries like there's a strategy involved Did you see the thing well they have to give up some arms terrace?
Yeah, so the arms do it victory so they sent the arms dealer over but what's more interesting to me is the reason to deal Got done now is because it's after the midterms so Putin wouldn't do it because it's a win for Joe Biden if he gets Brini grinder back during the midterms so the story I saw in the times was essentially saying none of this could get done until after the elections because he didn't want to give Biden a Win so when they do the trade like that the Russian guy who's leaving the American president going Russia They're still putting him in a Russian jail, right? They're not just like they're letting free Yeah, he's one of those arms dealing like for Russia. She just had a little weed. Oh This is why like well I guess what we speak to is like how valuable how much they value bringing her back and how unjust it was is that you would give somebody who like It would seem you know his offense is so much greater whatever I don't even know what this guy don't know either But the fact that it's like let's get her back We're willing to give up this piece that is obviously we think is important to stay imprisoned here that you know I guess that you gotta feel good about that.
I guess if you're bringing a grand I don't know what's your part is like yeah, cuz you're saying like if I'm in jail Why isn't everybody just kicking and screaming back home to get me out and I guess what the government would say to those people's like Look the more you kick and scream the harder it is to negotiate So will everybody shut the fuck up?
