Denise Lavallee just opened the free Milestone Nature Center in Barre Town — a sensory-rich outdoor wonderland built for neurodivergent learners and anyone who learns differently. Fueled by her own savings and inspired by her late-in-life learning diagnosis, she’s created trails, touch stations, smell corners, chime zones, and even a “Hide Away” with swings — all designed to let people explore through their senses.
