We often talk to former Deputy Conservative leader Lisa Raitt about politics, but she has also been very open about her husband Bruce’s disease: he was diagnosed with Young-Onset Alzheimer’s at the age of 56 and Lisa has been his caregiver since then. They recently marked their 10th wedding anniversary having actually married after Bruce’s diagnosis which I think is amazing. Here is my heart wrenching conversation with Lisa. And Do you still help your adult children financially? Until what age do they turn to you for cash? A new survey from RBC finds that more than half of parents have provided support to an adult child in the past year, giving an average of $6,15, to be exact. Parents are increasingly helping cover the costs of everyday life: groceries, rent and utilities. And the age where the younger generation still needs help is going up- up to 40!
