Pastor Dan Monroe teaches us that Natural self-control is the natural ability to control oneself, in particular one's desires and emotions or the expression of them in one's behavior. Spiritual self-control is a relationship with God that changes our emotions and desires and the expression of them towards God and others. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, listen to the Spirit, are humble before the Spirit and receive grace from the Spirit, we receive the gift of Spiritual self control.
