That’s what’s happening in Proverbs 23:15–16. A parent is saying, “When you make good choices and speak the truth, it brings me deep joy.” And God feels the same way about us. In Leviticus 23, God sets up rhythms—like feasts and special days—for His people to rest, celebrate, and remember Him. He wanted their lives to be filled with regular reminders of who He is and how much He cares. Then in Leviticus 24, there’s a reminder to keep the lamps burning in the tabernacle—a picture of staying close to God’s presence consistently.So what’s the connection?
