September 11th, 2016 The Unlikely: Even In Darkness. Samson, Selfish Grace.

from Cascade Church Monroe

Israel was without a king in the book of Judges.  They were caught in a cycle of oppression, repentance, salvation, to selfishness...  We have studied the many unlikely heroes that God used to bring repentance and salvation.  Today we will study the final Judge.  However, Samson could not be described as unlikely.  He was born into power, strength, purpose, and esteem.  He seemed like the most likely Judge to bring about permanent freedom!  We learn a valuable lesson in the failure of the most likely hero.  What does it take for a Kings grace to bring us freedom?  Why do we settle for a life without a King, abusing His grace, and bound to a cycle of endless sin?  Continue the conversation. Click here to access the Community Group questions.
