The people of Israel had also done as Moses told them, for they had asked the Egyptians for silver and gold jewelry and for clothing. And the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. Thus they plundered the Egyptians. How quickly things changed for Pharaoh, the Egyptians, and the Israelites. These verses share how the Egyptians were URGENT in sending out the Israelites because they feared they too would die. God indeed blessed the Israelites with silver, gold, clothes, and items to sustain them. He recognized their obedience, and the scripture says He showed them favor. Change…how quickly life can change with us also. Think of a time when life caught you by surprise with a sudden change. Did you find yourself reacting on bended knees and calling out to God for help? Or did you find yourself lost, wondering how you’d manage life as you tried to navigate forward? Matthew 28:20 says, “For lo, I am with you always”.
