September 21: ST. MATTHEW: The Tax Collector Apostle

St. Matthew dropped his tax booth the instant Jesus said "Follow me" — then threw a party so his old friends could meet Him too. A tax collector despised by his own neighbors, Matthew left everything the moment Jesus called him, then hosted a banquet inviting his old crowd of "sinners" to meet Jesus. When religious leaders objected, Jesus explained exactly why He'd come. "I have come to call not the righteous, but sinners." Today's challenge is just the start.
