from Prison Focus Radio

We begin the month with New Afrikan Political Prisoner Michael Zah Dorrough, Sr., who will be co-hosting as part of the ongoing Prison Focus Radio project to share the airwaves with California former and current Political Prisoners discussing their work, ideas and fight for liberation - after all, this is their program. We will be joined by guest Carl Marion, held captive at SATF with Brotha Zah, to discuss two bills, Proposition 6 which will remove the slavery language from our state constitution and will be put before the voters this year. Early voting begins in October; and SB94 which failed to pass but would’ve given some relief to a very small percentage of the over 5,000 people serving LWOP, like Zah. Zah is serving a life without parole (LWOP) sentence for which he is unjustly convicted, and is part of the historic California Prisoner Hunger Strike class which culminated in 30,000 people participating to end indefinite solitary confinement. One person died, Billy Sell – rest in power – Zah almost did. He endured 28 years in solitary confinement and is in his 40th year of captivity. Kan’t stop, Won’t stop Free Em All Liberate Our Elders All Power to the People! Free Palestine!
