Serenity

Serenity By Charlie H Russell © 08/09/2015 Smell the fresh cut lawn at the start of our day. A do drop drenched flower bouquet. We walk and talk with nothing to say. And I love how we know somehow that's OK. Well that's what I call Serenity. The way our world smells after it rains. How we race our paper ships down to the drain. And laugh at the same jokes all over again. Well that's what I call Serenity. Noonday shadows grow so tall in the light. As the wind blows to pick up our kite. Under a tree the sun's getting too bright. We count leaves until it's almost Night. Solo We sing Melodies to songs never heard. Write a new phrase, a line, or word. Over dinner a sweet evenings delight. That's what I call Serenity It's not always on my face, but in my eyes. I do love you and that's no surprise. You give me a hug and that feel so right. At last, Goodnight, sweet Serenity. That’s what I call Serenity Charlie H Russell [email protected]
