SERIE NOIRE (1979)

The old cow's loaded, so Paul fully intends to bump her off and let Franz take the blame.  This week: Alain Corneau's 1979 French crime drama SERIE NOIRE, starring Patrick Dewaere and Marie Trintignant!  Based on Jim Thompson's novel, A Hell Of A Woman, the film follows salesman sociopath Franck Poupart's life and mind as it sinks further and further into jeopardy.  All it takes is a suitcase full o' money, a gun, and a gal to turn the Drive-In Garage into a backstabbing carnival of desperation.
