Series 6 - Episode 23: Gloucester-Hartpury reach their third consecutive PWR Final; The impact of Ilona Maher; Viva Las Vegas?; Championship clubs moaning again

With a very young and inexperienced Gloucester side narrowly losing away to Newcastle in the Premiership Cup (and so far, no highlights seem to be available), our attentions this week were focused on Glos-Hartpury and their bid for a third consecutive PRW Final appearance. After a slow start, the girls once again delivered with a fine performance and comfortable victory against Bristol Bears. We chat through the game, the standout players and why all of you lovely pod listeners should try and get down to the Stone X a week Sunday! We also discuss the impact of Ilona Maher on the PWR and whether her slightly unimpressive performances on the pitch actually matter in the grand scheme of things. Meanwhile in the world of Rugby League, a bit of razzamatazz over in Vegas got us wondering if something similar would work in Union? Would we want Gloucester involved? Finally another week, another dummy spat out by Championship sides, this time over unequal rights in the Premiership Cup. Do they have a point, or are their moans starting to become tiresome?Ed PriceJim HarleyCherry Jam is gratefully sponsored by PGT LLP
