Even more, I will never forsake you, as My people! Consider all that I have done for you, and let it drive you to love, serve, and obey Me faithfully with your whole heart!”Notes: Proves Himself F_____________ (vs. 1-5)1 Samuel 8:4-5Proves the Lord F____________ (vs. 6-11)Proves Israel’s S____________ (vs. 12-18)The People’s R_____________ and Samuel’s New R_____ (vs. 19-25)IMPLICATIONS FOR LIFE:1) God has been faithful to unfaithful people like us and has provided the leader we need.Samuel’s Farewell address and Israel’s kingdom renewal are meant to highlight our sin and point us to Jesus, as God’s solution for it! 2) Do not turn away from following the Lord. Do not turn aside after empty things.Turn aside from every worthless thing and pursue the Lord with your whole heart! 3) Consider what great things the Lord has done for you.Constantly fill your heart and mind with all the great things God has done for you! This will show you how much greater and more glorious He is than everything else and lead your heart to pursue Him alone.
