Good morning! Today, we begin our new series together, "Gospel Meets Life," studying the book of James. I am really looking forward to this study as it is so practical in nature. Sometimes we can be deceived into thinking that the gospel is important for our eternity but not our everyday living. However, the Scriptures consistently teach that the grace of Jesus transforms our hearts, our thinking, and our entire lives. Our attitudes, our perspective, our actions, our responses to others, our words... the gospel changes us! By addressing very relatable life situations, James teaches us that true faith always overflows into everyday, practical living. On a similar note, I do want you to consider participating in one of our small groups this Fall. This year, our groups will be discussing our Sunday Scripture & sermon in a deeper context. Each week in your group, you will have opportunity to fellowship with other believers, discuss God's Word together, work toward real life application of all you are learning, and pray together. We all need this kind of genuine gospel community. Groups meet all around the area and nearly every day of the week. Please consider visiting or joining a group this week! Glad you're here!
