Sermon: Build Up One Another (Family series)

When engineers are working on a system, they can do one of three different things: create a thing, modify a thing, or destroy a thing. God works in our lives in much of the same way. He creates in us a new creation, he modifies the person who remains, and the destroys the old bonds which held us down. As we look at our relationships with others, we want to strive to do the same thing. We want to celebrate and join others as they are made anew in Christ. We want to help encourage and strengthen them as they are modified into better reflections of Christ. We want to help to assure them and remind them that their old lives are long-gone. A critical part of being a family united in Christ is recognizing the change that each of us underwent and continues to undergo.
