Candlemas is the popular nickname for what is today called the Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple. However, this name is relatively recent. Traditionally, it was the Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Explore how Luke’s story of the Presentation intends for to see the event through the lens of Mary and what more fully her purification is.
