The bible records many of the prayers of Jesus - His baptism prayer (luke 3) - The commencement of His public ministry (Mark 1) - Just before He selected the Twelve (Luke 6) - At His Transfiguration (Luke 9) - Before the raising of Lazarus (John 11) - After the Upper Room Discourse (John 17) - In the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26) - At His death (Luke 23) II. Jesus' prayer in John 17 may well be considered the greatest of all prayers of the bible - Rich with biblical themes - Reveals the Love between the Father and the Son( and thus for us!) - Continues to be effective- a picture of Christ's present intercession on our behalf!
