Sermon on the Mount

Sermon on the Mount Matthew Chapters 5-7 contain Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, where the Christ comes to reveal the holy will of God teaching us how we are to live. The Sermon on the Mount comes very early in the Gospel of Matthew, and it comes early in Jesus' ministry. His disciples are new to their master, and while they understand Jesus to be a teacher, a rabbi, they have yet to fully comprehend that the Christ is fully God and fully man. This is not any scribe before them, but it is the Word of God incarnate in full human form; moreover, the eternal Word of God is standing before them to give a message in human language.
