Sermon on the Mount — Narrow Gate

This message carries the Sermon on the Mount toward its decision point in Matthew 7:13-23 . Jesus sets up stark contrasts with no third option: two gates, two roads, two destinations. The narrow gate and hard path lead to life and few find it; every other way, however enjoyable or admired, leads to destruction. Discipleship and salvation are held together rather than separated. The test is not impressive deeds but union with Christ, being known by him, and the passage stands as a warning that still leaves a choice open.
