Sermon Series 106 The Spirit & The Word

The Spirit of Jesus & The Word work together to bring us into all truth. How? 1st by setting us apart as Holy. The 1st Scriptures Jesus directs us to look at is 1 Corinthians 8 & 10 which describe the sin of Idolatry. That the idols are nothing and that there is only one true God. Jesus also focuses us on the things offered to idols are nothing but as examples we are not to eat things offered to idols but to come together in love & honesty. Jesus has us look at Jeremiah 9 & 10 which describes Jerusalem during the time of Nebachnezzer. How idolatry was being practiced bringing us back to Leviticus 7. These scriptures parallel back to now our own time and how Satan wants to drag the world into uncleaness and fornication , adultery , confusion & Rebellion. Described In Hebrews 9 & 1 corinthians 9 & 3 Jesus wants us clean washed sanctified set apart as the holy priesthood and the chosen people he made us to be, without spot or stain presenting his gospel for free & not for gain.
