Servants & Stewards - Joseph - True Self Forgiveness
from Northwest Hills Community Church · host Northwest Hills Community Church
Lead Pastor Josh Carstensen continues our Servants & Stewards series, as Joseph's story comes to an end.Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is yourself. As Joseph's family well illustrates, life is messy, and for those of us who follow Jesus, we are no different. We all carry guilt and shame from parts of our own stories. But when the weight of unresolved guilt from our past keeps us from moving forward in the present, what we need to remember more than anything is that our story is just a part of a much bigger story, because we have the hope of the gospel. And when we embrace the truth that when God sees us, he no longer sees us in our past, but instead He sees His Son, this allows us to forget what lies behind and strain forward toward a glorious future in Christ.Thank you for listening to this message from Northwest Hills Community Church in Corvallis, Oregon, on November 16, 2025, at 11:00am.
