Serving Christ in China
from Faithful Footsteps Hosted by Manchoon Samchoon
These sources broadly explore the lives and experiences of individuals who have dedicated themselves to Christian service, particularly in challenging circumstances. One source provides a brief excerpt of a personal narrative about being taken captive and relying on faith during a period of hardship. Another source offers a detailed look at China, including its geography, culture, history, and the experiences of Christians living under a communist government, highlighting their resilience and efforts to spread their faith despite persecution and restrictions on religious freedom. The final sources focus on the biography of Gladys Aylward, a British missionary in China, discussing her work with orphans, prison reform, and evangelism, and contrasting the reality of her life with its portrayal in a Hollywood film, while also touching on the role of women in Christian ministry throughout history and the present day.Sources:(Un)remarkable Volume 2 - Excerpt - Pure Freedom Ministries6 Lessons from Gladys Aylward About Gospel SuccessBold Believers - Hope Church AugustaGladys Aylward, the little woman, and China's Inn of The Sixth Happiness - David AltonHSS - Gladys Aylward {Whatcha' Need?} - Shari HouseMissionary Mindset: Gladys Aylward - East West MinistriesReflecting Christ: humility in world missions - Southern Nazarene UniversityThe Supporting Cast: Gladys Aylward and Women in Gospel Service - Wisdom InternationalWho Was Gladys Aylward? - Ways to Learn at Ligonier.org
