Serving Jesus... But Neglecting Jesus?

Are you spending time in God's Word to know Him—or just to prepare for the next thing you have to teach? In this episode, I share a personal conviction that surfaced after realizing much of my Bible study had become preparation for sermons, podcast episodes, and ministry rather than simply pursuing fellowship with Christ. Ministry is a good thing, but when serving Jesus begins to replace sitting with Him, we've gotten the order backwards. Jesus never tells us to manufacture fruit—He calls us to abide in Him. From that relationship, everything else flows. We'll look at what Scripture teaches about abiding in Christ, the story of Mary and Martha, and Jesus' invitation to drink deeply from the source of living water before pouring into others.
