SERVING WITH JOY!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” — Colossians 3:23-24 (NKJV) Message: Serving is more than just fulfilling duties—it is an act of worship. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us that no matter what we do, we should do it with our whole heart, not for human approval, but for God’s glory. Whether in ministry, work, or everyday responsibilities, our service is ultimately for the Lord. When we serve with joy, our attitude shifts. Instead of seeing tasks as burdens, we recognize them as opportunities to reflect God’s love. True joy in serving comes from knowing that God sees our efforts, even when others do not. He is the one who rewards faithfulness, not based on recognition from people, but on the sincerity of our hearts. Joyful service is not about convenience but about commitment. Even when challenges arise, we can remain steadfast, knowing that our labor in the Lord is never in vain. He blesses those who serve Him with a willing and joyful heart. Today, ask yourself: Am I serving with a joyful heart, or am I seeking recognition from others? Do I see my work—whether big or small—as a way to honor God? How can I cultivate a heart of joyful service in all that I do? Prayer: Almighty Father, thank You for the privilege of serving You. Help me to serve with joy, knowing that my work is ultimately for You. Keep my heart free from seeking human recognition and focused on bringing You glory. Strengthen me to serve faithfully, knowing that You see and reward every act of love and devotion. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
