The fragmented world of the ego is sustained by preferences, which are part of a hierarchy of illusions; yet Jesus reminds us that the only illusion that truly leads us to awakening is forgiveness. Instead of believing we have many choices, we discover that in truth there is only one: following the guidance. Ultimately, we understand that we have no other need than God, and with this comes a lack of interest in differences.
