Session 11. Convo With Michelle

Sister Michelle and I first meet oVer 20 years ago, during my study abroad experience in Xhösa Cape Town, South Africa. Years later, we reconnect via Facebook, and eventually record this convo. In this archived convo from a few years ago, Michelle shares her experience growing up and living as a Coloured woman in Xhösa Cape Town. She describes the established Mélangé communities, culture, and customs, amongst Cape Coloureds; and her eventual migration and settling here within the Miami Midwest.
