This mystery was revealed by the Spirit and entrusted to Paul by God's grace. Paul sees his mission as preaching to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ and making known God's eternal purpose through the church. He prays that believers would be strengthened with power through the Spirit, that Christ would dwell in their hearts through faith, and that they would be rooted and grounded in love. Paul wants them to grasp the width, length, height, and depth of Christ's love, which surpasses knowledge, and be filled with all the fullness of God. He closes with a powerful doxology, praising God who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.
