Seth Vela Faces 14 Felony Charges | Miami News

A 24-year-old Miami man, Seth Thomas Vela, faces 14 felony charges after authorities uncovered over a dozen videos depicting child sexual abuse—including disturbing footage involving an animal. The case began in 2025 when Dropbox flagged suspicious files to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, leading detectives to Vela’s Little Havana home. During a raid, police seized multiple electronic devices as Vela refused to cooperate, invoking his rights. He’s now jailed at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, awaiting bail determination, facing charges for possessing child abuse material and animal abuse content. This grim case underscores how digital technology can be weaponized—and why relentless investigations are vital in combating such heinous crimes.
