Seton Hall Lands First Israeli Basketball Star | Big East Basketball News

Seton Hall’s basketball program is making waves by recruiting directly from Israel, bringing in Ilay Dolinski — a seasoned international player who just started practicing with the team. Already a key contributor for Israel’s senior national team at the 2026 FIBA World Cup and a top league pro in Israel, Dolinski is expected to slide into a power forward role for the Pirates. This marks the first time Seton Hall has tapped Israeli talent, signaling a bold new direction under coach Shaheen Holloway — who’s also reportedly close to adding another international wing from Italy. Dolinski’s journey isn’t without twists: he initially committed to Tulsa but never appeared on their roster. Now fully immersed in South Orange, his arrival could set a precedent for future recruiting moves, especially as NCAA rules open doors for foreign pros.
