Setting Boundaries with Clients: 5 Strategies to Make it Easy

from Dishing Up Digital with Ellen Mackenzie · host Ellen Mackenzie

This is a topic that I think doesn't get talked about enough, and I think by not talking about it, this is giving our clients agency over the we run OUR businesses. This is not ok and in this episode I talk through my 5 strategies to make setting boundaries with your clients that little bit easier. And no, it's not just putting the boundaries in place from the start - I'll talk through some real life experiences I've had, with having to introduce boundaries to my clients when they're already established with me.   My 5 Strategies are: Be firm from the beginning Utilise your contract Get comfortable with saying no. Ask yourself, is this really urgent? (so often it's just our own guilt getting in the way and it's not even the client) Address the issue with the client: explain politely but firmly Last resort: find new clients   I hope you enjoy this one, and that it helps you add some safeguards in place for yourself and your business.   ~~~   Thank you so much for listening.
