Setting the Captives Free - Part 1

Setting the Captives Free Verses to have while listening. Please keep all these scriptures close to your heart. They are key verses about how great our salvation in Jesus is, and how this gospel sets us free. Romans 1:16-17 (NKJV) The Just Live by Faith 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” What was that good news? Isaiah 61:1-3 (NKJV) also seen in Luke 4:18 when Jesus read it in the temple. 1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; (afflicted) He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” More good news of liberty. Isaiah 53:4-5 (NASB) 4 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. Verse 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. Declare it! Psalms 118:17 (KJV) 17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. Please listen again to this episode to get this in your heart.
