Now, that very same ideology is a heartbeat away from everything that happens in the Republican Party. This year, in fact, the Road to Majority featured a breakout session titled “The Seven Mountains of Influence.” Seven Mountains dominionism is the conviction that Christians of a certain hyperconservative variety should rightfully dominate the main peaks of modern civilization in the United States and, ultimately, the world. This week we speak with Katherine Stewart, a journalist and author, who has written extensively about the rise of this religious nationalism movement finding its way into all sectors of public life.NOTE: We had to cut the interview short as our guest was recording outside and it started to rain. We intend to have Katherine back on, as well as, other guests to unpack how the Seven Mountains Mandate is permeating every aspect of American society. Guest Bio: Katherine Stewart is an investigative reporter and author who has covered religious liberty, politics, policy, and education for over a decade.
