Severe weather threat, soaking rain, heavy snowfall

A strengthening storm is set to unleash major impacts across much of the eastern half of the country for the end of the weekend and through the early week. Plus the atmospheric ingredients are coming together for a dynamic storm to produce some of the highest snowfall amounts of the season so far in parts of the midwestern United States this week.
