Sex in the City

Ordained minister Dennis Hall and Dr. Mark Ford, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Highlands, North Carolina discuss sexual practices in the United States and both Scriptural teaching and the sociological implications are addressed. Gay marriages are addressed in light of Scriptural teaching about Holy Matrimony and the high divorce rate among lesbian marriages. The findings about children of same sex marriages is also explored. The prevalence of cohabitation before marriage is acknowledged and the science that demonstrates that this practice is devastating to later marriage relationships. The significant domestic violence that occurs in relationships when the partners are not married is part of the subject. Pornography is acknowledged as playing a role in everything from same sex relationships to violence against children. Humans are hardwired for intimacy and only Jesus and the Holy Spirit can give the strength to cope with the temptations.
