Sexual assault survivor Hazel Behan is praising the Joint Committee on Justice for listening to victims and recommending the abolition of counsellor's notes as evidence in sexual assault cases.The recommendation was put forward by the committee today, which says the practise violates a victim's right to privacy and confidentiality.Hazel Behan, who was assaulted in Portugal in 2004, says the committee's decision was "brave" and very "encouraging".Ms Behan is currently taking her case to the European Court of Human Rights over what she alleges is the failure of the Portuguese authorities to properly investigate her assault.Hazel joined us on The Agenda this morning to talk to us some more about all of this.
