Seymour College, bringing generations together on Vietnam Veterans Day

Here we speak with Seymour College's Defence Mentor, Kelly Quigg-Akkersdyk, students Lyrik Loder and Ella Noble and John Phoenix, President of the local Vietnam Veterans. In this discussion we look at Seymour College's groundbreaking decision to allow two Year 11 students to plan and MC Tuesday's Vietnam Veterans Day with the 60th Anniversary of The Battle of Long Tan. We speak about students meeting veterans, the ability to bring generations and communities together and remembering The Battle of Long Tan, where the average age of the 18 Australian soldiers killed was 21. About proving there is no generation gap in remembrance.
