SEYMOUR MACE
from Pull Back Reveal Hosted by Kev Rook
SEYMOUR MACE is a legend of the UK standup circuit and Edinburgh Fringe. Hugely admired amongst his peers, Seymour is renowned for his brilliantly offbeat routines and flights of fancy. He has won a tonne of awards and was nominated for the Fosters Comedy Prize in 2015. It was an honour to speak to him in what was an extremely open and honest conversation covering his latest show, his depression, quitting the comedy circuit, heading to University and his plans for the future. Seymour Mace is My Name Climb Up My Nose and Sit in My Brain: Join me inside my own head for an all-singing, all-dancing exploration of my f*cked-up brain. I'm going in sane, will I come out insane? All I know is it'll be proper funny alternative comedy, not some mediocre bag of shite mainstream middle-class virtue signalling pile of wank... Anyway, come, don't come, I'm past caring. 'As if the conjoined souls of Vic and Bob have been poured into the body of a tattooed Eric Morecambe' **** (Scotsman). ***** (Times). ***** (One4Review.co.uk). Things were really muffled at Seymour’s end of the line. I’ve done my best to clean it up, but as this is such a raw and frank chat I decided it should go out still. You might need to tinker with the volume whilst you listen but I think it’s worth it. When I’ve got some money to up the production quality I will get this remastered!
