SF takes the next step in endeavor to secure its electrical grid from PG&E

San Francisco is moving ahead with plans to acquire its electrical grid from PG&E. Last Thursday the city's planning commission unanimously approved an Environmental Impact Report needed for the takeover. But PG&E says that the grid is not for sale and tried to deter the city by saying that a takeover would raise prices. President Trump has said that he plans to share "really big news" regarding election security during a primetime address to the nation tonight. The speech is reportedly making politicians on both sides of the aisle nervous as the President is expected to broach the 2020 election.
