Welcome to the School for Startups Minute with Jim Beach. I love the topic this week, the idea that there are things better than a great idea. There's nothing worse than sitting on the sofa your entire life saying, when I get my idea, I will. No, you just have to go ahead and get started and take an idea and move forward because there are things more important. I'll show one of those right after this. Distribution is more important than a great idea. Remember the World War II story where soldiers were promised their Marlboro cigarettes and a Coca-Cola. And that allowed Coca-Cola to establish a distribution system on a global level that they still use to this day. A great idea, not as important as that government-funded distribution chain.
