Paul begins to get into the meat of false teachers doctrine that is plaguing the Colossian church. He says that they don’t need to worry about what to eat or drink or what religious ceremonies and festivals to observe, they need to hold on to Christ. The false teachers claimed a higher wisdom, brought on by observing religious rules that allowed them spiritual experiences - Paul says they are not from Christ.  Welcome to Covenant Church!
