Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff seem to be the most talked about couple on the planet right now, and there is a very good reason for that. With our Madam Vice President being a Black and South Asian woman, the visual of her White Husband stepping into the role of Second Gentleman (as well as stepping back to let Harris lead and shine) disrupts the gender roles that we are commonly used to seeing.
